Manu Pimentel

Manuela Pimentel is Brazilian and has held a degree in Dentistry from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, since 2010.

Having lived in the United States for 12 years, her journey is marked by the experience of starting over in a new country and the need to reinvent herself professionally. As happens with many immigrants, she arrived surrounded by expectations, but also facing a system, a culture and a financial reality completely different from the ones she knew in Brazil.

It was from her own challenges and lessons as an immigrant that her interest in financial education was born. Together with her husband, Bruno Mesquita, she began studying the American financial system, met the professional licensing requirements and started a new career.

For six years, Manuela has worked as a financial agent in the United States, guiding families and helping expand access to financial education, especially within the immigrant community. Her personal experience became an important part of her professional purpose: bringing to other families the knowledge she herself would have liked to receive when she arrived in the country.

Married to Bruno Mesquita, also a financial agent and co-author of Mentes Imigrantes, Volume I, Manuela is the mother of Sebastian, 3 years old. Building her own family in the United States reinforced her view on the importance of turning work and income into security, protection and planning for the future.

Today, Manuela believes that prosperity goes far beyond earning more. For her, financial education means acquiring knowledge to make more conscious decisions and to turn the result of years of work into organization, protection, wealth and freedom of choice.

As co-author of Mentes Imigrantes, Volume II, Manuela shares the perspective of someone who lived, in practice, the challenge of leaving behind a career built in Brazil, starting again in another country and discovering that reinvention can not only open new paths, but also reveal a new purpose.
