Biography
Eliete Dias is a Brazilian writer born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The author of more than forty works, including short stories, poetry, novellas, novels and dramas, she is known for intense, engaging and deeply human narratives in which love, destiny and emotional conflicts take center stage.
From a very young age, she showed a strong inclination toward the arts. At twelve, she began teaching painting in a small studio behind her home, an experience that eventually led her to create her own art studio, where she developed and shared her artistic sensitivity.
She earned degrees in Psychology from Universidade FUMEC and Fine Arts from Escola Guignard, bringing together an understanding of the human mind and artistic expression. She later specialized in Psychoanalysis in Paris, which contributed to the psychological depth of her characters and plots.
In addition to literature and visual arts, Eliete also devoted part of her life to classical ballet, expanding her aesthetic perception and creative sensitivity. This multifaceted experience appears in her writing through a detailed, emotional and poetic view of life and human relationships.
Her literary journey began in 2015, during a delicate and transformative time while caring for her elderly mother in Brazil. Writing became a form of expression, refuge and renewal. Since then, she has continued creating stories that move between reality and imagination and often explore deep, universal emotions.
She received an award at Sarau Brasil 2017 for the poem “Beijos Roubados,” recognized by the Brazilian Academy of Letters, Minas Gerais section, consolidating her place in literature as a sensitive and versatile author.
Her work explores timeless love, identity, memory, loss, overcoming adversity and the invisible forces that connect past and present.
With more than 40 books written throughout her journey, Eliete Dias has been gradually building her editorial catalog. Her published works also include versions in English and Spanish, translated by the writer herself, expanding the reach of her literary production to readers of different languages. Published titles include Outra Vida, O Legado do Amor, À Deriva, Entre Dois Tempos, Perdidos, Paraíso, Além do Espelho, Pas-de-Deux, Amor e Dor, A Herdeira do Mar, O Chamado do Horizonte and A Herdeira do Mar II, Além do Oceano, works that move between romance, drama, mystery, adventure and reflection, always marked by intense stories, strong emotional appeal and a cinematic tone, a hallmark of her style.
