Biography
Alejandra Méndez is an entrepreneur, educator, beauty business strategist and creator of the R.I.S.E. Method. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, her story has been built through different stages, countries, professions, challenges and, above all, decisions.
In Caracas, she studied Public Relations at IUDERP, earning her Bachelor's degree and, previously, her University Technical degree in the same field. She also had the opportunity to work at the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an experience that developed her communication, organization and human relations skills, which would prove fundamental, years later, in her business career.
She always felt a special connection with beauty, transformation and direct contact with people. That is why she also trained as a Unisex Hairdresser at the Francisco Pimentel Center in Caracas, in 2004, a decision that marked a before and after. She discovered that working with hair was not just learning a technique: it was learning to listen, observe, analyze and transform.
She lived for about five years in Argentina, developing professionally in the world of salons and commercial brands, and for approximately a decade has been building a new stage of her life in the United States. She has constantly invested in education beyond her borders, with training and certifications from brands such as S Professional São Paulo, Sweet Professional São Paulo, Hi Hair Care, Ybera Paris, Floractive and Revlon Professional, as well as specializations in HairTouch, Contouring and Balayage. Brazil played a special role in her training, with new technologies and methodologies in the hair industry.
With more than 25 years in the beauty world, she came to understand something that changed the way she works: talent alone does not guarantee growth. She met excellent stylists who struggled to organize their businesses, and understood that the answer lay not only in technique, but in structure. Because, as she herself says, structure sustains talent.
In 2023, the R.I.S.E. Method was born, based on four major stages: Recognize the reality of the business, Identify the potential and the ideal client, Systematize sales, finance, service, content and operation processes, and Expand with strategy, leadership and positioning. The methodology has been shared with stylists and entrepreneurs in countries such as Venezuela, Argentina, Spain and the United States.
Founder and CEO of MA Fashion LLC, she works with international brands, distribution of professional products, education and salon services. She is also the creator of Entre Nosotras, a community for women leaders and entrepreneurs, born from a belief in the power of connections, networking and collaboration among women.
Married to Ernesto Aramburu and mother of Luisana and Samuel, Alejandra understands that entrepreneurship never meant doing everything alone, a family can also become a team.
Her book, No es suerte, es método, was born from years of experience, conversations, mistakes, learning and observation. Not to tell a perfect story, but to share a real story of change, migration, reinvention and perseverance, because, as the title itself summarizes, what we call luck has another name: preparation, strategy, discipline, structure and method.
